Welcome to GAYIL.

GAYIL is an LGBTQ+ events, communities and places platform designed to help people discover LGBTQ+ life and community across Israel.

By accessing or using GAYIL, you agree to these Terms of Service.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use registered-user features on GAYIL.

By creating an account, you confirm that:

  • you are at least 18;
  • the information you provide is accurate;
  • you will keep your account information up to date;
  • you will comply with these Terms.

2. About GAYIL

GAYIL provides information and tools for discovering:

  • LGBTQ+ events;
  • LGBTQ+ communities;
  • LGBTQ+-friendly places;
  • cultural activities;
  • social activities;
  • nightlife;
  • community resources.

GAYIL may obtain event and place information from organizers, venues, community organizations and public sources.

Event information may change.

Always verify important information such as time, location, admission requirements and cancellation directly with the organizer or venue.

3. Accounts

Some GAYIL features require an account.

You are responsible for:

  • keeping your password confidential;
  • maintaining the security of your account;
  • providing accurate information;
  • notifying us if you believe your account has been compromised.

You must not use another person’s account without permission.

4. User profiles

Users may create profiles and publish information.

You are responsible for content you submit.

You must not publish:

  • false or misleading information intended to harm others;
  • another person’s private information;
  • passwords or financial information;
  • content that violates another person’s rights;
  • impersonation of another person or organization.

5. User-generated content

Users may upload:

  • profile photos;
  • descriptions;
  • community information;
  • comments or other content, where such features are available.

You retain ownership of content you create, subject to the rights necessary for GAYIL to operate the service.

By submitting content to GAYIL, you grant GAYIL a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display and technically process that content solely as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain and improve the service.

You represent that you have the right to submit the content.

6. Prohibited use

You may not use GAYIL to:

  • harass, threaten or intimidate another person;
  • impersonate another person;
  • publish private information without permission;
  • distribute malware;
  • attempt unauthorized access;
  • interfere with the operation of the website;
  • scrape or automatically collect information without permission;
  • create accounts for fraudulent purposes;
  • use GAYIL for illegal activities;
  • upload content that infringes intellectual property rights;
  • exploit the platform for spam or scams.

7. Events and places

GAYIL is primarily an information and discovery platform.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, GAYIL is not the organizer, promoter, venue, ticket seller or service provider for events listed on the platform.

GAYIL does not guarantee:

  • event availability;
  • event cancellation status;
  • ticket availability;
  • prices;
  • venue conditions;
  • organizer conduct;
  • accuracy of third-party information.

Where possible, GAYIL provides links to the relevant organizer or venue.

8. Communities

GAYIL may list or provide access to LGBTQ+ communities and community organizations.

Listing a community on GAYIL does not necessarily mean that GAYIL endorses that organization, its views, policies or activities.

Users should independently evaluate organizations and communities before participating.

9. Safety

GAYIL is intended to facilitate discovery and community connection.

Users are responsible for their own safety when attending events or meeting people.

We recommend:

  • meeting in public places;
  • informing someone you trust about your plans;
  • protecting personal information;
  • verifying event and organizer information;
  • following venue safety rules.

If you encounter illegal, threatening or abusive behavior, contact the relevant authorities or venue staff as appropriate.

10. Intellectual property

The GAYIL name, logo, branding, design, software and original website content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute or commercially exploit GAYIL’s protected materials without permission, except where permitted by law.

Third-party trademarks and content remain the property of their respective owners.

11. Availability

We aim to keep GAYIL available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation.

The service may occasionally be unavailable because of:

  • maintenance;
  • updates;
  • technical failures;
  • hosting problems;
  • security incidents;
  • circumstances outside our reasonable control.

12. Account suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate an account where we reasonably believe that:

  • these Terms have been violated;
  • the account is being used fraudulently;
  • the account presents a security risk;
  • the user engages in abusive or unlawful behavior.

Where appropriate, we may remove content that violates these Terms.

13. Disclaimer

GAYIL is provided on an “as available” basis.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, GAYIL does not guarantee that:

  • information is always complete or current;
  • events will take place as listed;
  • third-party services will remain available;
  • the website will always be error-free.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or protections that cannot legally be excluded.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, GAYIL will not be responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from use of the platform.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by law.

15. Third-party links

GAYIL may contain links to third-party websites, ticketing services, social networks, venues and organizations.

We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, security or availability of third-party websites.

Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and policies.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Updated Terms will be published on this page.

Your continued use of GAYIL after an update constitutes use under the updated Terms, subject to applicable law.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, unless mandatory applicable law provides otherwise.

Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Israel, subject to applicable law.
